Not everyone who uses alcohol or drugs develops a substance use disorder (SUD)—why is that? People have different risk factors that make them more vulnerable to developing SUDs. These can be environmental or individual. This video explains what these risks are and how they can affect people.

The Addiction Policy Forum is a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating addiction as a major health problem.
